The producer gave a frank interview. In her opinion, the Russian singer was originally in unequal conditions.
Yana Rudkovskaya commented on the defeat of Yulia Samoilova at Eurovision. According to the producer, this is one hundred percent coincidence of circumstances, force majeure.
She noted that if the participation of Samoilova in last year’s vocal competition, which was held in Kiev, was justified, then this year everything was different.
“Anyone else in Kiev would be in the wild, but it would be blasphemous to offend a girl with disabilities by starting to shower her with tomatoes and eggs. In the current political situation, it was the right tactical move, ”explains Yana. However, to enter the competition in 2017, Julia was never destined.
Rudkovskaya notes that Channel One did it nobly, deciding to send a singer to Eurovision-2018. However, in this case, the circumstances were completely different. Yulia was to perform on the territory of a friendly Russia country and be on equal footing.
The producer compared the song contest with the Olympics, where there is no concession to anyone. “And in the situation with Yulia, it turned out that the Paralympic player was sent to the Olympics,” says Yana.
Performers who have undergone a tough national competitive selection came to Portugal from all countries. Russian women in comparison with them have very modest vocal abilities. She was just in unequal conditions.
Yana also rated the Samoilova number. In her opinion, no dancing was superfluous, since the production did not catch the audience. According to the producer, it would be much better if Julia just left in the chair on the stage and sang like Celine Dion.
Rudkovskaya also noted that it is impossible to criticize the singer for failure. For her part, she did everything she could. But among healthy people she really was very hard. “Yulya needs to be supported and to tell her a big thank you for introducing our huge country,” the producer summarized.
Yana Rudkovskaya also told whose performance she liked most. She refused to say for whom she would cast her vote, but noted that she has two favorites. First, it is a performer from Cyprus, and, secondly, Alexander Rybak. She noted that even to a large extent, she is a fan of the latter: “I am for him: fresh, positive, charismatic, radiant.”
